A family’s story, worn with pride

The brief

A family wanted to honour their Mum, and the generations around her, in something the boys could wear with pride on the field.

The artwork

It began with stunning artwork by Imogen Lamb of Bululuwi Mirii. At its centre is Mum, surrounded by her children. The inner circle represents her own Mum and Dad, the next her sisters, and the outer circle her brothers, standing strong and providing protection around the family. Along the sides sit her grandchildren and great-grandchild, the next generations carrying her legacy forward. The three circles also mark the three towns she mostly lived in: Colly, Moree and Dubbo, places of deep connection and memory.

Our part

We took Immy’s artwork and built it into the jersey design, keeping every part of the story intact. The circles, the placement, the meaning, all carried across so nothing was lost moving from canvas to kit.

The result

More than a uniform. When the boys run out, they carry a family’s history and an artist’s culture with them.

Artwork by Imogen Lamb, Bululuwi Mirii.

The feedback

We’ve just come home from the Collarenebri Knockout and the boys played awesome for my mum. The supporter gear was a hit, everyone was impressed and kept asking for spares. Thank you for bringing the vision alive to honour my mum’s legacy.
